first_imgGuyana maintain unbeaten streakGUYANA Under-19 cricket team continued the dominant form on Thursday when they trounced Barbados by ten wickets in the fourth round encounter of Cricket West Indies Regional Under-19 one-day tournament, played at Conaree, St Kitts and Nevis.The win is the fourth for the Guyanese in as many matches played to date.Spinners Ashmead Nedd and Kevin Sinclair combined for eight wickets as the Bajans were dismissed for 166 in the 46th over. Nedd ended with 4-29 and Sinclair 4-23, while Shian Brathwaite scored 59.Openers Raymond Perez and Joshua Persaud then went about dismantling the Barbados bowling attack, racing to the target without the loss of a wicket in the 40th over.Perez ended on 87, while Persaud was sitting on 75 when victory was achieved. Guyana, and Trinidad & Tobago, also boasting an unbeaten record, will clash in the next round today.last_img
