1 Muhamed Besic is set to join Everton Muhamed Besic is on the verge of joining Everton after boss Roberto Martinez revealed the Ferencvarosi TC midfielder had linked up with the Toffees on a pre-season trip to Thailand.Besic starred for Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Cup and has been linked with a move to the Merseyside club all summer, as well as Newcastle and Swansea. The two clubs have yet to agree a deal for the 21-year-old but Martinez was pleased that Ferencvarosi allowed the former Hamburg man to join his current squad.“The next few days will allow Mo to meet the players,” the Spaniard told Everton’s official website.“But more importantly it is an opportunity for him to get into optimum condition ahead of the new season.“I am looking forward to introducing him to the Everton fans when we come back but first I would like to thank Ferencvaros for the way in which they have approached the negotiations.“They have been very understanding at this point and we have enjoyed a good working relationship.”The Toffees are expected to pay £4million for Besic and he will become the second summer acquisition for Martinez, joining Gareth Barry at Goodison Park after the England international made his successful loan move to the Toffees permanent at the start of the month. read more
